Bridge and Tunnel

Influenced by Swiss architect and designer Max Bill, this series of posters is meant to capture the aesthetic of the Swiss International Style of the 1950's while protraying famous New York City landmarks. This typographic movement emphasized clean deisgn, legibility, and the incorporation of a strong grid for layouts.

While Max Bill was an excellent sculptor and industrial designer, I was more fascinated by his paintings which explored the relationship between colors and shape. I decided to incorporate his appreciate for color and geometry with my own inherent interest in lines drawings and digital illustrations in order to reimagine the bridges and tunnels: the famous connectors of the city and its outer boroughs.
